POLICIES FOR CONTRACTED LESSONS
Clients must give a 30 day written notice (SMS or Email) to terminate contracted lessons.
REGISTRATION FEE
A yearly registration fee of $36 will be charged with the January lessons or the first month of lessons for new families. New families registering will be charged a prorated fee based on the number of months left in the year (for example, if a student registers in July of 2025 the registration fee will be $18). Registration fees are non-refundable and only cover the months of the current year. If the Agreement is terminated and the Client wishes to resume lessons, then he/she will be required to pay the registration fee again, regardless of when the contract was terminated and when the Client wishes to continue lessons.
TUITION
Tuition is billed monthly. All teaching days in which the Client has scheduled lessons will be billed. An invoice for the monthly tuition will be sent no later than the 10th of the previous month. If the bill is not paid manually within two weeks then the tuition will be automatically charged on the 25th. The Client must have his or her card set up for autopay whether he or she plans on paying manually or not.
For example: The Client has 4 lessons scheduled for the month of September. The Client will receive an invoice for $107 on August 10th. The Client may pay manually at any time between August 10th and August 24th. If the bill is paid manually then there will be no automatic charge. If the bill is not paid by the 24th, then the Client’s card will be automatically charged on August 25th.
MAKE-UP LESSONS
Each student will be able to reschedule 7 lessons in the first half of the year (January-June) and 7 lessons in the second half of the year (July-December). There is no limit to the number of lessons that can be scheduled in a month, however, once 7 lessons have been rescheduled then the Client will not be offered any more make-up lessons until the next cycle. Lessons can be canceled and made up for any reason (vacation, illness, etc.) with at least 2 hours notice. Notice must be given via email or SMS text message. If sufficient notice is not given then a make-up credit will not be offered and it will be considered a “lost lesson.” Once a lesson is canceled the Client is responsible for scheduling the make-up lesson via the online portal. Make-up lessons will expire after 60 days. If the teacher needs to cancel a lesson for any reason, then the Client is still responsible for scheduling the make-up lesson via the online portal; however, any teacher cancellations will not count towards the Client’s 7 allotted make-up lessons.
SUPERVISION AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Participation in Musician First Music LLC classes, whether virtually or in person, is done at the family's own risk and the guardian is still solely responsible for the care, safety, and well-being of the child. The Client will not hold Musician First Music LLC or its affiliates liable for any injury or other harm that may come to them during the class or lesson and will not hold Musician First Music LLC or its affiliates liable for any damage to property that may happen during the class or lesson.
Parents/guardians are encouraged to attend and observe lessons and are welcome to bring siblings and/or other family members; however the parent/guardian may drop students off for their lesson and leave the premises. The parent/guardian must come to the door to pick up the student - students will NOT be released to the parking lot. Please be advised that there is limited parking and parents/guardians must plan for this when picking up the student. The parent/guardian MUST pick the student up on time - no exceptions! Each family will have two “grace” days during the year to accommodate emergencies. After those “grace” days a late pickup fee of $15 will be charged if the student is picked up late to be charged the day of the lesson.
